BPAS, a leading national provider of retirement plans, benefit plans, fund administration, and collective investment trusts, has again been named a CenterState CEO Economic Champion. This honor recognizes exceptional businesses and organizations that have significantly contributed to advancing the Central New York economy over the past year.

BPAS is proud to be headquartered in Utica, with an office in Syracuse, where our Actuarial & Pension Services (APS) division serves high-profile clients such as Price Chopper, Crouse Health, CSEA, Syracuse Orthopedic Specialists (SOS), and SUNY Upstate Medical University Hospital.

In 2024, BPAS hired 45 employees and mentored five outstanding summer interns. BPAS is deeply committed to fostering talent through our robust internship program, which frequently leads to full-time positions. The Syracuse office also had the exciting opportunity to host a Marcellus High School senior for her year-long Independent Study project.

Over the past year, BPAS employees in Central New York have actively participated in an unprecedented number of volunteer initiatives, including contributions to organizations such as the United Way and A Tiny Home for Good. The organization also celebrated numerous internal promotions, reflecting a period of growth and opportunity. With an average employee tenure of ten years, BPAS takes pride in recognizing significant milestone anniversaries in 2024, including an exceptional 40 years of service.

“We are deeply grateful to be recognized as a 2024 CenterState CEO Economic Champion,” said Elizabeth Kaido, Senior Vice President of Sales and Relationship Management at BPAS. “This honor reflects our commitment to supporting economic growth, encouraging innovation, and giving back to the communities that mean so much to us. We sincerely thank our neighbors, friends, and clients across Central New York for their trust and support—it is because of them that we can make a meaningful impact.”

BPAS has been a growing member of CNY since 1973. With over 50 years in business, the organization supports more than 5,800 retirement plans with $110 billion in trust assets, $1.3 trillion in fund administration, and 810,000 participants at organizations big and small.

“We are proud to have been an active part of the Central New York community for over 50 years,” said Vince Spina, President of BPAS Actuarial & Pension Services. “This recognition reflects our commitment to our clients, employees, and community.”
